Life Transitions….
Riding the Waves of Change
By Sherry McHenry
There are many types of transitions that we experience within this lifetime.
Some transitions are perceived as welcome and chosen, such as graduation,
moving, marriage, entering the job market, retiring. Other transitions
are unexpected, sudden and traumatic that trigger feelings of separation,
loss and fear of the unknown. Try as we may to maintain the status quo,
life circumstances do constantly shift and we are faced with choices as
to how to navigate.
Sometimes it’s hard to let go of life circumstances that were comfortable
and familiar. Or perhaps there are regrets and challenges to be face and
one may question how things will ever turn around. Regardless of personal
circumstances, new possibilities are available and are ready to be seen
when we allow ourselves to open and align with how we really want to experience
life. You may want to ask yourself these questions:
Am I willing to trust the flow of life?
What am I attached to that keeps me from feeling connected with life energy?
Am I limiting myself because of old beliefs or fears? What am I waiting
to heal?
What do I really want? What gifts within myself want to unfold? How would
it feel?
Am I willing to take steps to change?
Opportunities exist in this moment to take a step toward aligning yourself
with your highest good and potential. It is our job, individually and
collectively, to activate the love energy within our soul that holds our
gifts and our highest good. Times of transition often activate the stirrings
within our soul. We don’t all have to live the same way or agree
on everything. But we must find the common ground of soul within us that
provides a nurturing space for every person to grow, develop as we ride
the waves of change.
“You have to strive every minute to get rid of the life
that you have planned in order to have the life that’s waiting to
be yours. Move, move, move.”
Joseph Campbell
